Co.Co Heritage
Preventive conservation requires a profound change in mentality: Where yesterday one saw objects, today one should see collections. Where one saw rooms, one should see buildings. Where one thought in weeks, one should now think in years. Where one saw a person, one should see teams. Where one saw short-term expenditure, one should see long-term investment. Where one shows day-to-day actions, one should see programme and priorities. Preventive conservation means taking out a life insurance for museum collections.
— Gael de Guichen, Study Series ICOM- CC 1995, p. 6

Mission and Profile

Today, art and museums’ collections have to meet numerous expectations. Not only, are they experienced on an aesthetic level and as the expression of previous cultures. More than ever, cultural heritage has become an important resource for science and education. All of which is leading to intense object utilization and increased hazards to collections.

The preservation of cultural heritage is the core of Co.Co Heritage’s work. It is aligned to balance current conservation standards, object requirements and museum's expectations.
